About Santa Clara
Life in Santa Clara
Today, Santa Clara is home to over 116,000 residents, and with 19.3 square miles of tree-lined neighborhoods, thriving commercial and industrial centers, and 300 days of sunshine each year, it is an ideal location for individuals, families, and businesses; a place where many of Silicon Valley’s engineers, scientists, athletes, and high-tech executives call home. And with such a central location in the Silicon Valley it’s no wonder that so many major technology companies such as Agilent, Applied Materials, Avaya, Intel, Nvidia, Palo Alto Networks, WebEx, WhatsApp, and many more are also found in Santa Clara.
The Mission City also boasts excellent educational facilities including several award winning public schools as well as Santa Clara University, California’s oldest operating institution of higher education. Some of the community’s hot spots include California’s Great America Theme Park, home to 40 thrilling roller coasters and other rides on over 100-acres of park. In 2014, Levi’s Stadium, located adjacent to Great America, become the new home of the San Francisco 49ers and is also host to an array of additional sporting and musical events.
