Luke Day: Let’s Make a Difference

What is Luke Day?

An integral part of our brand identity and culture, NextHome wouldn’t be the same without our beloved mascot Luke. In honor of his birthday, we have declared June 15th our company’s annual day of community outreach – Luke Day. We use this day as an opportunity to step away from our business and come together to serve our local communities. Luke Day is about collaboration and service, bringing people together to support a great cause.

This year, we have decided to donate to the San Jose Animal Care Center. 
Donate Goods
Monetary donations for medical care help the shelter animals the most! They appreciate receiving newspapers to line cat cages and “used” towels and blankets for the kennels (although currently they are overloaded with bedding)  Donated pet food, toys, or beds are not used for their shelter animals- but are instead donated to pets of homeless and low-income residents.

Below are the few select items that the shelter does use and appreciates for the animals at the shelter:
  • Bully sticks (dog treats). No rawhide, please.
  • Scratchers designed for cat cages
  • Zukes mini natural dog treats
  • Cat toys
