Nestled at the base of the eastern foothills in Silicon Valley, at the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay, the City of Milpitas is the located just north of San Jose, and east of the City of Santa Clara in the County of Santa Clara. Home to many top Silicon Valley employers as well as Northern California’s largest enclosed shopping mall, the Great Mall of Milpitas, and offering it’s residents an extensive public park system, numerous annual community events, gorgeous rolling hillsides, and quaint neighborhoods, Milpitas is a great place to live, work & play.

Milpitas’ housing market remains affordable relative to the majority of Santa Clara County.
Milpitas is often called the “Crossroads of Silicon Valley” with most of its 13.63 square miles of land situated between two major freeways (I-880 and I-680), State Route 237, and a County expressway. Milpitas offers it’s residents many public transportation options including an extensive light rail system opened for service in 2004 connecting the city to neighboring San Jose and Santa Clara, as well as a BART extension opening in 2017 that will connect Milpitas to Alameda County and San Francisco.
Boasting a vibrant local economy, Milpitas is currently headquarters for several Silicon Valley enterprises including Cisco Systems, SanDisk, Flextronics, Linear Systems & Lifespan which provide thousands of local jobs. Plus, Milpitas offers many shopping, dining and entertainment options from big-box stores such as Safeway, Target and Walmart, to smaller mom-and-pop boutiques that anchor many of Milpitas’ culturally diverse neighborhoods. And with numerous transportation options, the rest of Silicon Valley is a quick commute away from this ideally located community.
